TwitterGrep

I happened to think that Twitter served as a vital role in news breaking, especially when a Tweeter start to broadcast first-hand and useful information or news with URL link to her followers. Clearly, Twitter is no longer solely about “What are you doing?”, but instead a service that let you broadcast the useful information. However, perhaps if you don’t have a Twitter account; yes, don’t be surprised, many still don’t open a Twitter account, or you simply follow the wrong people that didn’t offered you any first-hand of breaking news, you still can know the latest conversations happened on Twitter by access to this TwitterGrep.

Apparently, TwitterGrep, it is a Twitter third-party app that aggregate the tweets genuinely piques many of our interest, as you can see the topic areas covered such as Breaking, Gossip, Tech, Pictures and Sport. Since I do not use Twitter much recently, and followed a handful small group of people, I find this TwitterGrep does fit for the knowing of breaking news purpose. Still, you also can find a robust set of comment tool that collaborated with DISQUS, allowing you to post your comment on any tweet without having to leave the TwitterGrep site.

Create A Google Profile

Most recently, Google has launched a new service which enables its users to create a public profile that can be found by typing “me” across the Google platform in the U.S. Clearly, with this new service, i.e. Google Profiles, this was not the only way we learn to search on Google, but also a way to by-pass some social sites to scour for some people that we wanted to connect to them individually.

On Google Profiles, you can build up a brief public Google Profile by using your Google account. Nevertheless, as far as content is concerned, you are allowed to fill up the basic background about yourself, such as where you grew up, the places that you’ve lived, companies worked for, etc. akin to something like your short bio. You also can add photos to your public profile by import your photos that are available from Picasa or Flickr. In addition to that, your other sites’ URL can be shared there as a way to promote your own sites, blogs, or your Twitter page.

But a bit googling on some examples of the Google Profiles found that some profiles have been verified, but some are not. I guess this is a way that Google used to dig out some fake profiles, to order to protect the site integrity.

Tools to Change Your Twitter Profile Background

For the kind of traction that Twitter attracted on the Web, I was not surprise that startups are offering to help Twitter users to further reach out to their potential followers. The main appeal for the following two sites offered is: change the background image of your Twitter profile.

1) MyTweetSpace

Overview: A site required users to register before they allowed to use it. Offers eight pre-made background and can be easily customized through the flexibility to upload your own photo, logo, or entering some basic information about yourself. To further customize your Twitter page background, you even can play around with the text, graphics as well as change the background size.

To use the background in your Twitter profile, you either can manually download it and install the background by your own effort, or you can let MyTweetSpace auto-install for you. If you still not satisfy with the design, you can hire MyTweetSpace to develop a custom background for you for a fee of $59.

2) FreeTwitterDesigner

Overview: As the name suggests, FreeTwitterDesigner helps you to build your Twitter background around. You can start with an empty blank background, or with five pre-made background offered by them. You can customize the background by throw in some text, shape, and edit it accordingly. However, after you finishing the background design, you need to upload the background image to your Twitter profile yourself, and the second part of the job is change the design color in these five aspects: background, text, links, sidebar, and sidebar border.

ConversionSpace

PDF documents are now widely adopted and many have retained a fondness for PDF document over the DOC format file. For those who hasn’t installed the offline desktop tools for converting DOC file to PDF format, here’s another online conversion service which can get the PDF conversion job done.

A newly launched PDF online conversion service called ConversionSpace helps you to convert your MS Word to PDF format as well as convert image to a JPG format. What’s more, if you want to send the file to somebody via email, you can opt for it by filling in the intended recipients’ email addresses. If not, you can leave the recipient email address empty, and ConversionSpace will then email you back with the copy of the converted file. On a side note for PDF conversion, though you can convert from variety types and formats via a more established player such as Adobe PDF Online, but you can only convert up to five (5) copies as compared to unlimited copies if you use ConversionSpace as at this moment.

Enjoy it while it’s free.
