wewin

I came across a Web 2.0 site that called WeWin.com for quite some time. In fact, I didn’t go back to this site for a while, the main reason is not it didn’t big enough that interested me, or I don’t like to watch videos personally, it’s because I have a long, long list of companies to keep track everyday, besides my daily job. However, I really surprise about this startup after I’ve finished reading an article that mentioned WeWin.com is on the track to become the next YouTube.

According to the above mentioned article, this site has just experienced a tremendous growth of its members in the recent months. The main reason for this growth is due to its marketing strategy. WeWin is a first online video sharing community that rewards its members with prizes. On the WeWin About page, you will find that WeWin’s members can watch the Internet’s best video clips while earning a chance to win valuable prizes as well.

“We are delighted by the positive response and overall support of the incentive-based model, from our members and the industry as a whole,” said Brian Carrozzi, Founder and CEO of WeWin.com. “We’re ahead of schedule as it is, and our growth continues to astound me every day.” According to the aforesaid article.

Bottom-line: Things happened for a purpose; it makes sense that the growth of WeWin is due to the motivation of prizes and money.

Update: WeWin has discontinued its service. If you visit its home page, it will redirect you to a site called Zipidee.
